Biblical Faith: The Bible speaks a great deal about faith, but what is faith?  We hear people speaking about faith as something that people can use to make themselves rich, but the Bible teaches that faith is given to glorify God.  Since faith is a gift from God we can also see that we cannot work ourselves up emotionally to "have faith".

Biblical Faith. Part 2: Many times we do no not understand what Biblical faith means because we are focused only on our physical lives.  True faith is given by God as we draw close to Him.  It is given so that we can walk with Him and trust Him for all our spiritual and physical needs. We must remember that we are spiritual beings,  created in His image to live by faith in Him.

Faith with Works: Many people view faith as a state of mind instead of a gift from God.  They say they are "people of faith" when they describe what doctrines they hold to.  But Biblical faith is the kind of faith that brings with it works that demonstrate its presence in our lives. We are saved by grace through faith, and that faith carries action with it.

Enduring in Faith:  Hebrews 12 speaks of a walk, or life, of faith. The kind of faith that God gives us is an active faith that changes how we live.  If we have true Biblical faith it should show in our life.

In Father's Care:  Have you ever wondered why sometimes things do not seem to go the way you want them to go?  To God we are like children, and a child does not always know what is best for him.  The fact that God sometimes disciplines us confirms that He cares for us and wants us to mature in righteousness and holiness.

Completely in God's Grace:  Our nature as human beings is to work to earn things.  We often try to gain God's approval  times in the same way ... by works.  Even believers at  times do not understand their relationship with God and often try to rely on their works instead of the righteousness of Jesus the Messiah and the finished work on Calvary.  But God wants us to rest in His grace.

Two Mountains:  The Law was given at Mt Sinai. The people, and even Moses, greatly feared the presence of Almighty God.  In this revelation of God He described the perfect behavior that would be required if we were to try to work to please Him.  At Mt Zion however, He revealed His love and the free gift of everlasting life in Jesus the Messiah.
